GLENDALE — The United Armenian Fund’s 158th airlift arrived in Yerevan on December 18, delivering $7.3 million of humanitarian assistance. For this flight, the UAF itself collected $6.8 million of medicines and medical supplies donated by various charities, including AmeriCares ($5.5 million), Health Partners International of Canada ($651,000), Catholic Medical Mission Board ($548,000) and Direct Relief International ($24,000).
Other organizations which contributed goods for this airlift were: Dr. Mary Alani/Focus Armenia ($139,000), NY Armenian Students Association ($47,000), Eastern Prelacy ($45,000), DESY Laboratory of Germany ($41,000), Armenian Missionary Association of America ($37,000), Dr. Stephen Kashian ($35,000), Armenian EyeCare Project ($33,000), and St. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church ($32,000).
Also contributing supplies to this airlift were: Armenian Bone Marrow Registry ($15,000), Society of Orphaned Armenian Relief ($12,000), Dr. Hagop Pambookian ($11,000), Foundation Semra ($10,000), Armenian Technology Group ($10,000) and Hermna Hintiryan ($9,000).
