$120 Million to be Implemented in Armenia’s Agriculture Sector in 2017

Investment programs in agriculture sector were discussed at a meeting convened by Ignati Araqelyan, Armenian agriculture minister, the ministry’s press reported.

The minister said that programs worth $120 million will be implemented in 2017. Of this amount $60 million is the cost of the project’s mentioned recently by Suren Karayan, economic development and investments minister.

Araqelyan said that investments will be used for construction of slaughterhouses and a cannery as well as for expanding greenhouses, gardens and modernizing brandy industry.

The minister instructed appropriate officials to set control over implementation of these programs.
