Two Power Facilities Opened in Karabakh –Shushi, Kashatagh

STEPANAKERT –Two power facilities have been opened in the region of Nagorno-Karabakh in the early days of 2011.

Bako Sahakyan, President of the NKR, attended the opening of a power transformer plant near the town of Shushi.

He also participated in the opening of 2.4 megawatt Syunik -1 hydro power plant in Kashatagh (Lachin).

Another hydro power station under construction in the area, Syunik-2, will have a capacity of five to six megawatt, the report said.

“The implementation of this program in Kashatagh is not only a profitable activity in the economic and business sense, but first of all, it is confidence in the future of this region,” said Kiro Manoyan, a senior member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun.
